Celebrating Miss Leila

To celebrate Leila's birthday, my family went to the zoo yesterday.  This has become a yearly tradition and I'm so glad it has!  October is pretty much the BEST time for a zoo visit.  It certainly beats going in the heat and the crowds are fairly minimal.  This visit was no exception.  It was a GORGEOUS fall day made better by the amazing company we kept.

The Avengers were roaming the zoo as part of a Make-a-Wish for a little boy.

After the zoo, we came back to our house for pizza, cake and ice cream, and presents.  When I asked Leila what kind of cake she wanted, she responded "rainbow" so we threw her a rainbow party.
